They need to give realistic, or more importantly, ACTUAL competitor rates. At this moment, WAVE says WU will convert at 81.1 Kshs/$, MoneyGram at 45.3kshs/$, while WAVE will do so at 90.5 Kshs/$ but WU website shows it will convert at 90.01kshs/$. Thats a significant difference! Great service but you algorithm needs some work.

I often use WU and the rates that Wave shows for western unions competitor rate is just too high. Also I wanted to test it out and send money using wave, but it kept telling me that I need to verify my email address by sending a link to to my email. I never got that email since 4/07/2015 to this date.

The exchange rate you get on this app is ~3% below market exchange rates, which makes this app as bad as withdrawing money using almost any U.S. atm card. Yes, it will be more convenient than going to the ATM, but you are not saving money. The end.

This app is a very simple and intuitive way to send money to Uganda. The integration with MTN and Airtel mobile money is very cool.

I use the app quite often and I like it. Only issue I have is the displayed exchange rates for Western Union and Money Gram that are incorrect. I hope in time this will be fixed to provide a more realistic picture.

Wave is the very best thing out there for an East African who has family back home. You can send money for free to Anyone with MTN or AIRTEL. they will receive it on their mobile money account. Its very user friendly. And also very safe. You can be rest assured that your information is safe protected and encrypted. They also have very fast customer service. Ive been using it since it was available for those sending to Uganda back in January! Start with $1 just to test the waters. Your welcome ;)

I tried to send money to my brother in kenya and the transaction wouldnt go through. .. So i called and was told to message or email: i texted... On August 22. By september 13 STILL no response. I tried calling twice... Then msg twice. Nothing. Im thinking Wave is a HUGE money scheme! I caution anyone using this app.

I tried to send money using this app and it said I needed to send a picture of my ID to prove my identity. After sending the photo my money was on hold for 4 days and I could not get anyone to respond to my emails or texts to get my identity resolved. I finally asked for my transaction to be cancelled. They didnt ever answer the phone, you have to email or text to get help. I was never given a reason why they were ignoring my requests for help but they did cancel my transaction.

Wave crashing on my iphone 6, when I click on login, it disappears, when I click on register it opens first page then if u try to type anything it disappears as well. I have deleted and downloaded 10 times to no avail. Fix it or keep loosing customers.

Finally I can send cash to loved ones laying on my couch. No more trips to western union at two in the morning. Pretty simple to use, n guaranteed, my only concern is the limit is too low,70k, in todays world is very little in local currency.

Not in America this can be a scum. Whoever wrote the negative review on wave is a scum him/her self. Stop spreading wrong bad reviews on genius innovations. Wave is great and for one year i have seen a door to Moneygram or western union except sending money to my loved ones anywhere ... Without worrying about closing hours of these sending money agents.
